BEST OF 2018:

So after another manic seasons of Weddings, trying (and failing) to kick-start the blog again, I wanted to see the year out with at least some sort of bookend to finish 2018 off nicely.

Enjoy this little highlights reel of some of my favourite images from the year and we'll try and make a go of the blog again in 2019. With a massive website overhaul on the horizon it might be the kick start I need. Have a great end of 2018 everyone and I'll be back in the New Year with a new look blog and lots of new content. I promise!!

Beautiful Testimonials:

Recently I've received truly heartwarming reviews and kind words of thanks from some of my 2016 Clients. Words like the ones below do really do make every second of this job worth while.

"(I) met Robin at a Vintage Wedding Fair in Sheffield, and didn't think for one moment I would be booking our photographer from here given we lived near Winchester & that's where we were getting married.......

However this was the start of how brilliant Robin's services are, as this was no obstacle as more than happy to come down to do our wedding photography (this in itself had gone a long way, as it was clear it wasn't about just 'doing a job', but was a real passion, and wanting to be able to recreates peoples weddings into special memories that they would be able to look back upon.

Ian & I had a great time with our engagement photoshoot, we had chosen to opt for something a little quirky, and different and Robin captured everything perfectly, we also had a fun time, Robin helped us in preparation for our wedding photos in poses that look totally amazing.

At the wedding itself, Robin was much more than the photographer, he was absolutely part & parcel of our day, we & all our guests absolutely loved Robin, his friendly, approachable manner, and we received our wedding photos yesterday and WOW, WOW, WOW, we are blown away by Robins amazing skills & work.

Thank you so, so, so much Robin for capturing our day as perfectly as you have done, totally highly recommend."

- Love Claire & Ian xx

"Kelly and I would like to thank Robin for all his hard work on the day, for being so approachable and friendly to our guests, and most importantly for the brilliant pictures he has taken.

All of the emotion of the day comes through in the pictures, and myself and Kelly have had a good laugh and cry looking at the pictures. Thanks again Robin."

- Kelly & Aaron

"Robin really listened to what we wanted. His style is so natural - we barely noticed him there on the day!

We have just received our images in a beautiful little box and they are truly stunning. He has captured so many special moments. We will treasure these photos forever. Thank you so much Robin!"

- Beth & Dan

"We have just had our wedding photos back from Robin and they are amazing...we can't thank him enough! He listened to what we wanted and captured the day perfectly.

Nothing was too much to ask (even coming with us to Las Vegas), and in turn this put us both at ease.

Everyone has commented on how great the photos look and how relaxed us and all the guests looks in the photos, which really is a testament to Robin."

- Thank you again, Lauren & Phill

"Thank you so much for the beautiful photos. They brought back so many wonderful memories and the moments that you captured are just magical!

You fitted into our day perfectly, never intrusive but always available to capture the moment.

We can't thank you enough and we would definitely recommend you."

- Best Wishes, Amy-Rose & Adam xxx

Brides Up North Real Wedding Blog Feature:

It's been a seriously long time since I last posted on my blog, 6 months in fact and I can honestly say I have no idea where the time has gone.
This has been my busiest (and most successful) year as a Wedding Photographer, so on some levels my inability to regularly post on here is a good thing, I'm too busy shooting weddings for anything else to get a look in!

Anyway, it's always an honour when one of the big Wedding Blogs picks up one of your Weddings for a feature and I've always had Brides Up North in my sights, but never quite found the right wedding to submit.
Luckily, Sophie & Daniels seaside wedding in Redcar seemed like the perfect opportunity to put my work forward for the blog. It was a great day with a lovely couple. I loved getting to shoot Redcar Beach as the backdrop for their beautiful day.

83Weddings goes PHOTOBOOTH

I was recently asked by some clients if I could do a Photobooth for their Wedding. It wasn't something I had ever really thought about before but I decided it would be fun, and something new to try out.
I'm glad I went ahead with it because the results turned out great!!
Everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves with lots of positive feedback making me consider if this is something I should offer permanently in addition to my normal packages. Should I offer this all the time?

If you want to check out a full album of my photobooth experience click on the image below!

Kiss The Bride Magazine Interview

Recently I was asked by the wonderful people at Kiss The  Bride Magazine if I'd be happy to do an interview about being a Groom-to-Be (for those of you who don't know I'm due to get married in June 2016) as part of their article 'Getting Your Groom Involved in Wedding Planning'.

Naturally I said yes hoping to provide some useful tips as someone in the midst of my own wedding planning as well as being a wedding industry insider.
