|| WIN A FREE PHOTO SHOOT ||

Wow! It's been over a year since I last blogged anything on here which I know is absolutely criminal. Somehow 2017 totally got away from me, it's a long story and something I might get into further at a later date (in an entirely different post) but for now, back in 2018 one of my New Year's Resolutions as far as the business was concerned was to get myself out there more on social media. I've always enjoyed the success of referrals and a good reputation in what I do, but as a business I could always do more.
Since I started 83Photography & 83Weddings Social Media has become such a powerful tool and I'll happily admit I've probably slept on it a little while others have excelled.

I'm posting this on my 83Weddings Blog rather than the 83Photography one  as I'm almost certainly more known for my Wedding Photography than anything else, so wanted to share some info on how I also do work with different clients throughout the year on various other photography projects.
Over the last 6 months I’ve been concentrating on a massive revamp to the commercial side of my website updating my portfolio to include loads of previously un-showcased work.
This was a really fun process where I was able to revisit lots of old projects while selecting what to feature on the website.

With a background in Fashion and Product photography I do still work largely in these areas, as well as having a huge passion for music which does lend to me shooting bands both live and for line-up shots, as well as dipping my toe in the music video world (something I'd always love to do more of).

Recently I've also had a spate of Family, Children & Maternity Photography requests, mostly from old Wedding clients who now have kids so have returned to ask about my services in shooting the new additions. In reality this makes total sense and something I maybe should have thought about perusing sooner but without dwelling on the 'shudda wudda cudda's' it's been great to see the response to my work in this area and definitely something I'll continue to pursue now I've got the ball rolling.

To really get to the core of this post, I'm raising this awareness about all the other photography work I do bar Wedding Photography by having a little competition. As you can see from the image at the top of the page I'm offering a FREE PHOTO SHOOT to those who like my competition post on either Facebook or Instagram, as well as 'Following' me and tagging someone else who might be interested in entering the competition.

I've put links below, to take you directly to the appropriate pages as well as other examples of my work for you to check out. I'd love for as many people to enter the competition and wish everyone good luck in winning if they do!

Brides Up North Real Wedding Blog Feature:

It's been a seriously long time since I last posted on my blog, 6 months in fact and I can honestly say I have no idea where the time has gone.
This has been my busiest (and most successful) year as a Wedding Photographer, so on some levels my inability to regularly post on here is a good thing, I'm too busy shooting weddings for anything else to get a look in!

Anyway, it's always an honour when one of the big Wedding Blogs picks up one of your Weddings for a feature and I've always had Brides Up North in my sights, but never quite found the right wedding to submit.
Luckily, Sophie & Daniels seaside wedding in Redcar seemed like the perfect opportunity to put my work forward for the blog. It was a great day with a lovely couple. I loved getting to shoot Redcar Beach as the backdrop for their beautiful day.

BEST OF 2015:

2015 was a great year for 83Weddings. I found my feet in a style I've always had in my minds eye, while the re-branding and updated aesthetic of the website really helped tie in the whole look of my work, truly portraying it's personality.
I shot loads of great weddings and had loads of fun at every day I captured. I had editorial features in Belle Bridal and Your Yorkshire Wedding Magazine, while also having huge amounts of interest in bookings for 2016.
On a personal level I've had a jam packed 2015. I've had an awesome year with my band Colour Of Spring and plans for my own Festival themed Outdoor Wedding this June are also going smoothly. I can't wait!!

Before I get into the full swing of things for 2016 I wanted to take a look back at a bunch of my favourite images from last year and to give you an opportunity to see my most up-to-date work in all it's glory.

This year is going to be a great one, I can already feel it!!
